Well, it’s true! Microsoft really polished, and enhanced, Windows 7.
The 1st thing that you are going to want to do before you decide to upgrade to Windows 7 is check and make sure that your computer has the proper system requirements to run it.
Here are the system requirements to run Windows 7:
- 1 Gigahertz (GHz) or faster 32-bit (x86) or 64-bit (x64) processor
- 1 Gigabyte (GB) RAM (32-bit) or 2 GB RAM (64-bit)
- 16 GB available hard disk space (32-bit) or 20 GB (64-bit)
- A DirectX 9 graphics device with WDDM (Windows Driver Display Model) 1.0 or higher driver

If your computer does not meet these minimum requirements then you will either need to upgrade your system or purchase a new one that meets the requirements.
Minimum requirements are the basic amount of hardware that you will need to run your computer. We'd recommend that your computer exceed the minimum requirements, which will be an advantage to you in the long run with your computer.
